This page now has a SILVER background!
New material added 7/22/2014. Edited some text.
This page is
dedicated to my mother, Irma Peterson.
I love you, mom. Rest in peace.
I don’t have
a lot of photos of my mother’s side of the family. This graduation picture
is the earliest one that I know of.
I will show the
scans original size.
Then I will attempt
to splice.
The
street in front of Grandma’s house in Oakland
She
looks so happy here! Wait till she has a couple kids!!
Ken
and Elsie
Wally and Irma bff
Ken and Elsie…………Irma and
?????????
Ethel
was here the day this was taken. Could that be Max???
My
relatives will not communicate with me. Too bad. I
could really use some information!!
Irma
Ethel

This is the only photo
that I have of my Aunt Ethel (Matthews). She married Max and gave birth to my
cousins, Wayne, Judy, and Bonnie.

All
together, now….just before Okinawa….
Then……….
Military mug shot. This was mom’s I.D. card photo.
The officer’s club, a formal affair.
Ewwwwwwww, a crab!
The beach in Okinawa.
The Quonset we lived in.
And then there was Yuma….
The front porch at 1301 15th street in Yuma.
This
was one of our trips to the Grand Canyon. It
snowed in Flagstaff
while we were there. This was shortly before we moved to Sacramento.
I
don’t have many photos of our first trip to Sacramento, but shortly
thereafter, we were transferred to Newfoundland.
Newfoundland 1960s
This
appears to be the same woman as in the photo, below. In some recent
communication with Erling
Boe, he identified her.
In
his own words:
THE LADY
NEXT TO ME IS MY SECOND WIFE, JOAN (SKINNER WAS HER MAIDEN NAME). SHE BROUGHT
DAUGHTERS ELIZABETH (b. 1980) AND SHERIDAN (SHERSI, b. 1974) INTO MY LIFE. NEXT
IS MY AUNT CHRISTIE, JIM WEIGHER, HUSBAND OF ANNA MARIE (NEXT), DAUGHTER OF
CHRISTIE. I AM NOT SURE OF THE OTHER TWO WOMEN. IS ONE YOUR MOTHER AND THE
OTHER MY AUNT MARTHA?
Sioux City, Iowa. (Sergeants Bluff)
Mom
and Dad moved back to Snohomish, sold the farm, and bought this place in Sacramento.
5754 Poker Lane. Sacramento, Ca. 95843
I
built a deck for Mom and Dad, right where that cherub fountain sits. It was the
first of several.
In
this house, mom passed away. September 6, 1996.
Dad
passed 6 years before, in October of 1990. They moved here in 1979,
so dad enjoyed eleven yearsa, here.
And,
of course, the final thing:
A
couple of things…..I never knew my grandfather’s name was John and
I didn’t know he was from Sweden.
I knew my grandmother’s maiden name was Ellen Ellis. I was told she was
Scotch/Irish?????? Wish I had more info on that side of the family!
Final
resting place;
These photos were sent to me by my
brother Dale.

From what I can see, it appears to be Jessica in the back with jeans on,
Stephanie, her daughter, my granddaughter, in shorts, and My
youngest grandson, Caden on the stone.
