The locater sheet shows McKinnon next to Margaret Goulding.                 This is looking at fresh sod next to McKinnon. The marker to the right is Noel Goulding.

Noel Goulding’s marker                                                                   Statues visible from grave.

Graves are under tree in center.

I’m sorry! This is the best I can do. There is no marker for Margaret as yet!

Hi Pete,

The name I'm looking for is Alfred E Bacher (Mar. 31, 1921 - Feb. 25, 2005) in the  Calvary Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, Sacramento, Sacramento County, California.

Thank you for your help!

Donna

Hi Donna,

It took longer trying to figure out what you were asking for, than it did to go get the photos. Thank you for the simple instructions!

My two cameras are not the best, and I chose a bad time of day to get the photos. Anyway, Here is what I have for you. First I will include the map I was given, to find the marker.

I photographed the entrance, and a few of the statues, and also the front of the office. There were two markers shoulder to shoulder, so I included them both.

If you are unable to use these, please let me know, as I intend to upgrade my equipment, and I promise I will re-take them, if these are unsatisfactory.

Pete

Terry, I am blown away with how professional you handled all this.  Hardly anyone is as thorough as you have been on this request.

I don't have any idea what you did in the aircraft industry, but perfectionism must have been your work ethics.  Are you a professional genealogist?  I have belonged to a genealogy club in our area and once a month they have a paid speaker come in and speak on their specialty.  Is that something you do or would do?

I'm sorry I put out a photo request so soon after the burial.  I know better but must have been sleep deprived at the time.

Thanks so much for your good work.  I'll try to put everything you sent to good use.

Hello Neil!

Nice complement! Thanks.

I, recently, received several huge boxes of pictures. I scanned them all, and made a website, so that they may be accessed by family. (Anyone, actually)

I was distressed by the fact that few were identified, and I have, since, become a professional genealogist. :-( yes, frowny face!

I feel so stupid because I am having a hard time learning what to do. Fortunately, a long lost relative came across one of my web pages, and with her help, I found another long lost relative, who will be a big help with names.

I am too busy for a club, but would love to learn some new tricks.

Be well

Terry

I regret to inform you that there is no marker. I will report the problem, and, the next visit, I will verify the location. There was a crew present to remove the flags that were placed for Memorial day. I am sending a few photos of the Honor Garden. An employee told me that space 22 has no marker, but I photographed the space for your own personal records. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Photo number 1 (003.jpg) is the entrance to "East Lawn".

Photo number 2 (004.jpg) is the "Honor garden" sign.

Photo number 3 (005.jpg) is row 49.

Photo number 4 (006.jpg) is space 22.

Photos 5 and 6 (007 and 008.jpg) shows the crew removing the flags that were placed for Memorial Day.

Thank you.  I would appreciate the addition of the photo where his stone should be, if you could add that.  I will make a note that there is no stone on the memorial, but that one shows where he is actually buried and it might help someone else down the road.  Thank you again.  This was not great news, but at least I know that this vet needs a stone.

Yes! I added the photo of the unmarked grave. It is quite common for a grave to be unmarked, for any number of reasons. The employees told me that a stone, or marker of some sort may be added at any time. They are inexpensive. If you decide to mark the grave, I would be happy to return, and photograph the marker.

Name: Paul Marvin Norman (unknown - unknown)

Note from contributor: Hi, im really hoping to have a picture posted of my grandfathers grave. He is in a granite slab in a wall like structure towards the back of the cemetery. I beleive hes at the end cap of one of the areas. I think its a dark forest green granite. Hes a black man and his picture is on the header. The space above or below will be for my grandmothet when she passes. Thank you.

Your Grandfather's crypt was easy to find. When I arrived, there were flowers in the holder. (Beautiful blue Hydrangeas.) I removed them to take the photos. When I was finished, I replaced them. I took some additional photos for your own personal use. They are as follows:

009.jpg is the photo I submitted. It shows the space reserved for your Grandmother. As you can see, Paul Norman was born in Sept. 7, 1932. He passed away on July 19, 2001.

016.jpg is an out of focus shot of the flowers.

018.jpg shows the flags that were placed for Memorial Day.

I am including a couple out of focus shots. (I'm just learning :-)

Here are some better shots from another camera. I photographed the surrounding area.

If I can be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,

Terry
